In exactly 8 weeks I will be home in America! That’s less than two months! Holy CRAP! I’ve got a lot of stuff to do before I can leave. The good news is that my school finally gave me the dates for our end of year exams (starting Nov 10). It’s actually a couple weeks earlier than I expected so now I have even LESS time to teach my intended topics! I can never win in this system. I’ll be glad to return to a more sane* society. (I’ll let you know how THAT turned out in January =) )
*Disclaimer – When I say sane, I simply mean more organized. I hate to imply that Tanzania and Tanzanians are completely insane, because I think maybe American’s have them beat on a few issues such as spending time with friends extemporaneously.

dan! i was just on my facebook account and saw that you emailed me there sometime back in july :( i'm so sorry to be responding now, but here I am :) actually, i want to say congratulations on all that you've done in these last couple years--what an adventure! also, i wanted to say i've been reading books in the same vein as pollan's and am excited to see you take an interest in it, as well. joey and i just moved up to anacortes, wa so we could be close to the skagit valley and apart of it's local food systems.
anyway, enjoy the next two months and here's to safe travels back to this continent :)
